Try it Free 2009

Not sure you want to register your kids or if they will enjoy playing field hockey?  Well come “TRY”field hockey at one of our FREE events this year.  The benefits of these events are that your kids play and learn with kids their own age.  The sessions are planned and organized by qualified instructors.  Your kids will try all the FUN skills and rules of the game- through modified games.  And best of all you can register your kids for future indoor and outdoor programs at these events.   Don’t forget about our fun activities and refreshments after each session as well. The first Try It Free Day is on November 14th, 2009 for the indoor program. Ages 5 through 12 welcome both boys and girls. The first day will be held at the JCC Recreation Facility - 7200 - 156 Street (780 487 0585).

Indoor Programs 2009 - 2010

FHA EJP programs for the indoor season for 2009/2010, includes under 6, under 8, under 10 and under 12 programs. All experiences welcome, if you have never picked up a stick, this is a great way to start something new and exciting!! Indoor hockey is a sport combining the fitness of soccer and the finesse of ice hockey, very similar to indoor soccer and ice hockey, with just 6 players on the court at a time, including 1 goal keeper. All programs are introductory for beginners and experienced players alike. Fun and learning atmosphere is promoted by our coaches and parents involved within the program while incorporating skill development and during modified games. Come join the fun!!

For all programs soccer shin pads and a mouth guard are mandatory to participate and to be covered under insurance. All other equipment (sticks/balls/goalie equipment) will be provided at each session.
